“New People” propose to fine anti-abortion activists by 100 thousand
The pseudo-liberal party “New People” intends to introduce into parliament a bill on insulting the feelings of women.
Vice Speaker Vladislav Davankov stated this at a press approach in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“I see that in December it was as if the State Duma and other departments announced a competition for the wildest ideas on how to increase the birth rate. We have already heard about the tax on childlessness, that women do not need to receive higher education, and many, many other things that are not worth talking about.
First of all, because this is said by men who have never given birth, do not understand what it is and do not understand why women have abortions. We have a law on insulting authority. I believe that we need a law against insulting the feelings of women,” Davankov said.
He proposes to fine officials 100 thousand rubles in order to “cool the ardor of the so-called demographers who are trying to solve the problem of the birth rate using medieval methods.”
