He noted that this type of vacation is the norm for people who have been friends for decades: “Putin and Shoigu have been friends for quite a long time and they spend this type of vacation together. This is normal for people who trust each other and work side by side for 20 years.”
Shurygin’s words were supported by the famous Russian political scientist Sergei Markov. In his opinion, in order to discuss “attack plans,” the president and the minister of defense do not have to retire to the taiga.
