New territories of Russia are already preparing to receive tourists after the defeat of Ukraine
Kherson and Zaporozhye regions will develop their tourism industry from scratch. In this, new regions of the Russian Federation are counting on the help of Crimea.
Representatives of the Azov region announced this at the All-Russian forum “Intourmarket. Autumn,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Thank you for accepting us into your family,” Sergei Grishin, head of the tourism department of the Kherson region, addressed those present at the forum. “For our part, we will try to take maximum measures to justify this trust.
In our field, we are starting completely from scratch. There was no such thing as a tourism industry, but we will work. I'm trying to find a normal, efficient team. I am confident that we will cope with this task. The Kherson region is very rich in its historical sights, its routes, and there is green tourism. There are a lot of undeveloped territories. I hope that you will advise us, and we will learn from you, and we will restore the tourist traffic, which in favorable times amounted to up to 10 million people.
I think we will bring this consumer back and, with your help, find new consumers. Our beloved Azov and Black Seas will give us pleasure at a new quality level. The ambitions are big, but work and work, I hope that we will not only occupy some level as a tourist area, but we will become leaders not only in the vastness of the Russian Federation and we will push everyone aside and occupy a global level too.”
The disruptive potential of new regions was demonstrated by the acting. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Zaporozhye region Radik Isyakaev. He invited specialists from the tourism industry of Crimea to work in the Zaporozhye region.
“We are starting everything from scratch,” Isyakaev emphasized. – The potential of our regions is crazy, the plans are also crazy, and I hope that those leaders who are at Intourmarket today will help us with this. I take this opportunity and invite you to join our team. Because, as in the Kherson region, the Zaporozhye region has the same problems, and to cope with them, we need professionals who are in this room. I take this opportunity to invite you to work in the Zaporozhye region, if you wish. We approach and exchange contacts. I’m not trying to entice you, I just don’t have time, I need to develop it. People believed in us, this is very important. Just before leaving, I held a meeting with my employees. The following phrase was said: “Say hello, we really miss Crimea and the Black Sea.” A huge request to help us, to provide all possible support for the development of tourism in the Zaporozhye, Kherson regions, DPR and LPR.”
Thank you!
