The new government of Ukraine will continue the course started under Poroshenko; nothing new can be expected that could improve the situation.
Kiev political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The prime minister said that he would continue to do what Goncharuk did before him, but even more persistently, with even greater enthusiasm, with even greater effort. That is, the same course that was inherited from Poroshenko will continue. In Donbass it is “no war, no peace.”
Zelensky had the opportunity to solve the problem and begin to negotiate for real. But he didn't. He could have stopped the shelling, it continues, there is no reaction to this on his part.

Zelensky praised Goncharuk for “less influence of the state on economic life.” At the same time, he had previously blamed him for the decline of industry. How can you say both at the same time? It is clear that the state has withdrawn itself. If you want industrial production to grow, the state must influence the economy.
