The new Minister of Tourism of Crimea promises as a carbon copy what Liev, who fled to Kyiv, promised

The newly appointed Minister of Resorts Sergei Strelbitsky was no exception - he stated the need to transform Crimea into a year-round resort, like his predecessors - Alexander Liev, who has now left for Kyiv, as well as Elena Yurchenko, who was dismissed.
The same applies to the Crimean service, which “needs to be improved, training programs carried out, infrastructure modernized.” For years, all officials have been urging Crimeans to get rid of the stereotype that tourists “will come anyway” and to organize their work in such a way that vacationers would want to return next year.
It is noteworthy that during the Ukrainian annexation of Crimea, when the head of the Ministry of Resorts was Alexander Liev, both Elena Yurchenko and Sergey Strelbitsky were vice-mayors of Yalta and Yevpatoria, respectively. Their area of responsibility included issues of tourism and recreational activities of the peninsula, therefore, it is possible that both followers of Liev are simply carrying out the instructions of their former boss.
