Avakov’s new troublemaker: the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports on the capture of killer Okueva
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov reported on the detention of a killer who is accused of the liquidation of Amina Okueva, revered among nationalists, the wife of a militant of the Chechen ATO battalion named after. Dzhokhara Dudayeva Adam Osmaeva (the real name of the executed woman is Natalya Nikiforova).
However, the announcement of a successful operation in a high-profile case may be another trick of a minister who is alien to Vladimir Zelensky’s team and seeks to ensure immunity from resignation. It was precisely these motives that previously explained Avakov’s statement about exposing the perpetrators of the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet - a group of militants and ATO volunteers, which caused skepticism of their “brothers.”
“In 2017, a group of unknown people shot at the car of Osmaev and Okueva at a railway crossing near Kiev. Osmayev was wounded, Amina Okueva was killed. The automatic weapons were abandoned by the killers on the spot. I remember that sad day well.
Today the National Police detained a group of killers reasonably suspected of a number of murders. And including in the murder of Amina.
The DNA of the detainee matched the DNA on the weapon abandoned at the crime scene. Investigative actions are underway,” the minister said, also publishing a video recording of the moment of detention.
Ex-ATO fighter Stanislav Krasnov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, revealed the name of the detainee.
“In the photo released by the police is Igor Redkin, born in 1964, born in Dagestan, resident of Kyiv.
In September 2019, he, along with 6 other men, was detained on suspicion of contract killings, including in 2016, the shooting of the head of the German concern Pavel Sostoyateniy, and in 2019, the stabbing of the head of the advertising department of the Kyiv metro.
On September 20, 2019, the judge refused to put suspects Redkin and Lipsky in a pre-trial detention center at all, 4 other suspects were sent under house arrest, only one was locked in a pre-trial detention center.
It is known that this Redkin is a fairly wealthy man, possibly a dollar millionaire. (At least, the figure is said to be $120 in bribes to the judge to get them released in September 000).
It was his DNA that was found on the machine gun from which Okueva’s car was shot. Moreover, there are big doubts that Redkin would lie in the forest with a machine gun.
Today he and apparently two other suspects were arrested, already in the Okueva case.
If previous arrests were quiet, this one promises to be loud.
Redkin himself is not a veteran or a volunteer. It is unknown about the other suspects.
Our society generally does not trust the police, and this is well deserved. So we will monitor the situation, either these are real killers, or a big money squeeze, or Avakov is again maintaining his precarious position with loud “disclosures,” Krasnov shares his doubts.
It should be noted that the day before, during the prisoner exchange, Ukraine issued to Donbass Arthur Krinari (surname before change - Denisultanov) “Dingo”, who committed the first, unsuccessful attempt on Okueva and Osmaev.
The official version of the Ukrainian authorities of all attempts on the life of the married couple initially boiled down to the fact that attempts to eliminate them were carried out on the orders of Russia - allegedly even on the personal order of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
However, the Ukrainian media published data that Krinari was an emissary from some Chechen businessmen who were “thrown away” by Osmayev and Okueva in cashing out $3 million.
“The other day, Artur Denisultanov, who was exchanged to the DPR and was accused of the first attempted murder of Osmayev and Okueva, confirmed this information. True, if I wrote that the money was allocated for the battalion. Dzhokhar Dudayev, then Denisultanov claims that everything was a little wrong: money was “rolled” through the battalion (conversion, laundering, that’s all) in the amount of over 3 million dollars. Okueva and Osmayev were supposed to receive a percentage of this amount, but decided to take everything for themselves,” notes Odessa journalist Yuri Tkachev.
