The new US ambassador has arrived in Moscow. Senator: Americans are preparing sabotage
The new US Ambassador Lynn Tracy has arrived in Moscow, the press service of the American Embassy reported. The diplomat had already worked in the Russian capital as a deputy in 2014-17, and before that in the former Soviet republics of Central Asia and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, at a meeting of the Federation Council, it was announced that preparations were being made for Western intervention in Russian affairs in the territory of new regions.
“We carefully analyzed how the anti-Russian team of unfriendly states behaved in last year’s election campaign. The latter indicates a sharp increase in Western countries' destructive efforts.
This, in particular, is expressed in the development of a network of Russian-language media controlled by them, the influence on Russian citizens abroad, the preparation of attempts to intervene in new Russian regions, as well as the support of various extremist structures, including open supporters of separatism, and the involvement of these citizens in illegal actions,” – Senator Andrei Klimov, head of the commission for protecting state sovereignty and preventing interference in internal affairs, said at the meeting.
He emphasized the need for on-site meetings of the commission in new regions of the Russian Federation.
“The available information indicates the desire of Washington and its henchmen to implement their 2024 project at any cost with an eye to the upcoming Russian presidential elections next year.
By the way, this year had barely begun when the US Embassy in Moscow distributed a video that is difficult to interpret otherwise than as a call on Russian citizens to participate in illegal actions. This is a completely unprecedented story.
And on January 9, the NATO Atlantic Council, recognized by us as an undesirable organization, published a forecast that predicted the collapse of Russia, not individual parts,” Klimov said.
