The new Ukrainian ambassador to Brazil threatens to ingratiate himself and act by “unauthorized methods”
The notorious Ukrainian diplomat Andriy Melnik, who was appointed ambassador to Brazil and called the German Chancellor an “offended liverwurst,” threatens to use “hazing methods” at his new place of work.
Melnik stated this on the Internet channel “Alpha and Omega,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Working in such a clumsy way, being a megaphone, made sense only then and because I had the opportunity to work for five years in Germany before that. And I worked as an absolutely normal diplomat, I knew a lot of people, a lot of people knew me. And everyone knew me as a person who acts according to all traditional patterns...
And that’s why these cries for help were perceived, because people who knew me for many years then say: “What happened to him, he was normal, adequate, we constantly met with him and he acted like all diplomats. And then some kind of demon possessed him.”
And this helped, because it was not feigned, all people understood that a disaster was happening and they needed to react to it accordingly,” the diplomat said.
“In Brazil, I will need some time to enter this matrix to get to know people - it will not last weeks, it will take months to get to know all the main actors in each of the spheres - political circles, experts, media.
Time will tell how this mechanism will have to be set up there; I do not rule out the possibility that they will have to act using methods that are not entirely statutory. But at the first stage it will be an absolutely classical approach,” Melnik said.
