He announced this on the very first day of his confirmation as head of the cabinet, Polish Radio reports.

Thus, the prime minister is confident that relations with Ukraine must be built on historical truth and reminded that “we must not forget about such events as the genocide in Volyn.”

He also stressed that the decision to accept or not accept refugees is Poland's own prerogative and added that the country has accepted many refugees from Ukraine, where there is a war.

“Poland, by accepting Ukrainian refugees, helps relieve tension on the eastern flank of the European Union. However, the European Commission does not notice this, therefore, we will draw the attention of our partners to this,” concluded Morawiecki.

It should be noted that the day before, the European Commission sent complaints to the Court of Justice of the European Union against the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland for failure to comply with legal obligations on the movement of migrants.

Let us recall that it was previously reported that former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development and Finance Mateusz Morawiecki became the new Prime Minister of Poland. He must form a new government. Until its creation, ministers from the government of Beata Szydlo will remain in the cabinet.
