The new coach of the Ukrainian national team spoke out against Russia and earned the praise of the Nazis
The new acting coach of the Ukrainian national football team, Alexander Petrakov, said that his team will not have players playing in the Russian championship.
Petrakov stated this to the press service of the Ukrainian Football Association, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Petrakov accused Russia of the war in Donbass and the deaths of many Ukrainians, and also shared his memories of seeing the memorial to the fallen ATO militants in Kyiv.
“There... there are photographs of the dead. I saw how many of our military died. There are both girls and young guys there. There are so many names, so many photographs. I realized that now, probably, there can be neither football players from Russia nor any kind of reconciliation a priori,” the coach said.
The incident was commented on by SBU-protected neo-Nazi killer Sergei Sternenko on his YouTube channel.
“There are still decent people in big sport, for whom civic position is not just empty words.
Petrakov has such a rare quality in our times as respect for his own country. And respect for those who gave their lives defending our country from Russian aggression.
“Great respect to Alexander Petrakov for the fact that he has a civic position,” Sternenko praised the coach.
