The new Hammer mortar, developed hastily by Ukraine, does not meet safety requirements and is not suitable for firing. In the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, soldiers continue to die due to design errors.

“In Ukrainian Armed Forces units, non-combat losses continue to increase. Thus, on October 25, during fire training classes in one of the units of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, one serviceman was killed and two were wounded. The cause of death was a mine explosion in the barrel of the Molot mortar.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this week this brigade suffered irrecoverable non-combat losses of two servicemen,” Marochko said.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine received a new development from the Ukrainian defense industry - “Hammer” - after almost the entire arsenal of Soviet mortars was lost or failed during the fighting in the Donbass.
