“Karat” will be used as an automated control system for the tactical command and control of the ground forces, the concern’s press service reported.
According to the press service, “Karat” is intended to increase information interaction within the unit and coordinate the actions of fighters with commanders.
The PC is expected to be used in harsh environments. Using navigation parameters of GPS / GLONASS systems, for example, the user’s location, exact time, speed and direction of movement, as well as special radio communications, the Karat MPK can solve many communication, information and calculation-tactical problems, reports "Ridna Cherkashchyna".
According to Ukroboronprom, the Karat kit, in particular, includes a personal computer for the commander of an artillery unit - a universal ballistic calculator (UBK), which is designed to automate calculations performed during the preparation and fire control of an artillery (mortar, rocket artillery) battery / platoon, as well as solving navigation problems.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the Dnipropetrovsk Yuzhmash plant offered to produce grenade launchers to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
