Nuland urgently flew to Kyiv. Is Poroshenko being prepared to capitulate on Putin’s terms?
On Thursday, May 14, high-ranking US State Department official Victoria Nuland urgently flies to Kyiv. Her visit will last two days.
About it Vesti reports
The purpose of the visit is negotiations with the authorities regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Nuland's arrival was preceded by negotiations between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Sergei Lavrov and President Vladimir Putin.
The negotiations caused a serious resonance, both in the media and among experts.
“They became convinced that the Ukrainian army is unable to resolve the conflict by force. But no one wants the defeat of Ukraine as a result of the war with the Russian Federation - all that remains is to negotiate. Moreover, there are conciliatory notes from Moscow,” Vesti quotes international affairs expert and former employee of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Voloshin.
Recall Previously, French President François Rooand demanded from Poroshenko the speedy implementation of Minsk-2. In particular, carrying out constitutional reform and securing autonomous status for Donbass.
Let us also recall that representatives of the DPR and LPR today handed over to Kyiv draft amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution and a special law on local elections in the Donbass, prepared in the republics.
