Nuland was summoned for questioning in the State Duma in the case of bioterrorism
The State Duma of the Russian Federation today adopted an appeal to the UN and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on the need to investigate the activities of biological laboratories in Ukraine.
According to the head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky, biological laboratories located on the territory of Ukraine performed a number of tasks, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This includes monitoring the biological situation around NATO troop bases, exporting certain strains of diseases abroad, and developing agents specific to a given region as weapons. On February 24, all biomaterials were urgently destroyed.
“We can now remember what has worried and surprised us in recent years. We all remember that measles was defeated in the USSR. But Ukraine in recent years has turned into an incomprehensible breeding ground for old and new diseases. In 2005-07, measles returned to Ukraine, as an epidemic, and until 2021, measles is present as a significant disease.
The World Health Organization even named Ukraine the capital of measles. The same thing happened with cholera. The last cases of cholera were registered several decades ago, but in 2011 in Mariupol, 33 people fell ill with cholera, in 2014 - 800 people. In 2015-16, more than 100 cases were recorded in Nikolaev. We all understand that this is not an accident. Now it’s clear that these are links in the same chain,” Slutsky said.
Deputies who spoke during the discussion of the issue said that biological laboratories also studied the migration of migratory birds and studied strains of coronavirus on local bats.
The State Duma decided to create, together with the Federation Council, a special commission to investigate the activities of biological laboratories in Ukraine. It will be headed by Irina Yarovaya.
“We ask those who will be part of this commission to begin by inviting Victoria Nuland to testify. She is informed. So call her and start questioning her first, and then interrogating her. She needs to explain why the US created laboratories there, given that she has already started commenting. Let him tell you why the convention was violated and what this could lead to. She needs to cooperate to maintain peace and security. Take a good look at Nuland’s eyes, let her stock up on cookies, they might come in handy,” said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
