Is Doctor Komarovsky needed on Russian TV?
There is an expression – an old one, proven over the years – “a cunning bug”. It's actually used a lot, but it still has a layer of noble dust on it. And so, looking at the well-known doctor Komarovsky, who treats almost all diseases (or just all?), this association invariably pops up in my head - a cunning beetle. Well, take a closer look... he’s like that, isn’t he?
It's not about appearance, no. Although, let me make this remark that there is, of course, a purely external similarity. But the point is still in the content.
I’m sitting in the hospital now - right now, yes - with my child, and I hear one mother saying to another: “By the way, Dr. Komarovsky advised in his last program...” Well, as the last one, the last one, that’s what the artists say. Yes, yes, Komarovsky always gives a lot of advice in his speeches, TV shows, and books. And yet most of them are amazingly banal. No, sometimes they are really useful, but overall...
However, the trouble is that Komarovsky not only treats, but also, forgive the tautology, “heals”. In particular, the doctor participates in politics, where he radiates, as in the doctor show, sweet complacency. If you look at the news feed, Komarovsky always comments on this or that event in a conciliatory tone.
So he declares that Russia should not be afraid of Euromaidan. Here he is, smiling through his mustache - oh, this cunning beetle! – says: no, there is no oppression of Russians and the Russian language in Ukraine at all. Meanwhile, in the squares they are chanting “Moskalyak to Gilyak.” Meanwhile, Donbass is being bombarded with bombs and shells just because it dared to express its opinion.
This is not enough for Komarovsky. He begins to engage in political campaigning. Well, why don’t you like Zelensky? Young, active, cheerful! Komarovsky openly supports Zelensky. But time passes - and oh and ah! Disappointment! Yes what! Why? Well, it is clear, of course, that Zelensky has indeed disappointed many. However - oh, miracle! – we see a cute photo of Avakov and Komarovsky together. New political force? Undoubtedly.
Someone will tell me that a person can change his opinion - his right and will. I do not argue. But a person has no right to be a hypocrite. A person has no right to use his authority, gained in one area, to advance in another, where his opinions fluctuate like voltage in an unstable network. And there is a colossal difference between complacency and hypocrisy, forgive me.
And most importantly, a person does not have the right to defend the destruction and oppression of Russian people, while working, by the way, on Russian television. I understand that he’s a cunning bug, yes, but they can also give you a slipper on your ass. Or is everyone happy with everything?
