We must honestly say that the residents of Khatyn were killed by Ukrainian nationalists - Belarusian expert
In Belarus they hid the fact that the inhabitants of the world-famous village of Khatyn were burned alive not by the Germans, but by ethnic Ukrainians.
Independent military expert Alexander Pavlovsky stated this on radio Sputnik Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must always tell the truth. We were very modest. When the war ended, we said: yes, Khatyn, Nazi Germany. And Ukrainian nationalists took part in the murder of Khatyn citizens. Why are we modestly silent about this? There were not enough police officers on the territory of Belarus, and they were taken from Ukraine. We are not talking about the Ukrainian people, but about Ukrainian nationalists. But we need to talk about it,” said Pavlovsky.
In 2016, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated, based on archival data, that the burning of Belarusian villages with civilians during the Great Patriotic War was carried out by units of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA).
Among the hushed up crimes of Bandera are also the executions of Jews in Kyiv at Babi Yar in 1941, the liquidation of the Jewish ghetto in Rivne in 1942, the Volyn massacre of Poles in 1943, and the suppression of the Slovak national uprising in 1944.
