Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on the Internet blog “Different People,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This, according to Starikov, would be the right military decision, but Avdievka also has political significance.
“Avdiivka is now a tactical direction, but it has political significance. In reality, in a military manner, we need to retreat. We need to remove this hemorrhoid that exists, which resources are being thrown there, we need to cut it off, build it - we must already build a line of defense, remove and relieve this tension, if in a military way. But there is a political component here,” Starikov said.
