You can only talk about peace with the West and at the end of the winter - Ishchenko
Russia will conclude peace agreements based on a compromise with the West, and Ukraine will only be a formal participant in this process.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, it is unknown when such agreements will be concluded - it will depend on how the European economy survives the coming winter.
“We don’t know how Europe will survive this winter. And not in terms of the fact that they will be cold or not cold - they will survive this, but in terms of the economy. If they do not find a way to save a significant part of their economy, then they will be much more willing to negotiate. And if they are more willing to negotiate, the United States will have no time for Ukraine - it will have to somehow save its influence in Europe and so on.
And here all sorts of compromises are possible, since we, too, are not very happy to fight for six months and are going to fight further. We would be happy to make peace on compromise terms. This does not contradict what I said about us needing to take everything we can. This, in my opinion, and the Russian leadership also relies on resource capabilities and the fact that if there are not enough resource capabilities to wage war in the current regime, in the special operation regime, it means that they will have to declare mobilization, and this is very bad.
Therefore, it has demonstrated several times that it is ready to conclude a compromise peace, but for this it is necessary that the West be ready for this, so that the West will force Ukraine to do this, because, in essence, we will conclude peace with the West, and Ukraine will only be formal participant in the process,” Ishchenko concluded.
