The world famous Serbian musician and composer Goran Bregovich announced this in Sevastopol.
“I can tell a story about my country. This is the story of 41 years, the beginning of World War II. Several generations of Yugoslavs grew up with the phrase of that year: “better a coffin than a pact, better a war than slavery.” In 41, the king of Yugoslavia signed a neutrality pact with Hitler. And then people took to the streets dissatisfied with this situation and recited this phrase. After that, Hitler attacked Belgrade and in this war we lost about two million people. And it turned out that this phrase was actually invented by British intelligence officers. Therefore, when such events happen in the world, I always remember this story and understand that in fact, you and I know nothing about what is behind it all. And perhaps the truth will only be revealed in 60 years, when no one will care anymore. The saddest thing is that ordinary people are losing a lot in this situation, and I regret that,” Bregovich said.
At the same time, he expressed confidence that “we are all victims of politics.”
“If you even manage to avoid domestic politics, then foreign politics will begin to haunt you. Unfortunately, our lives are connected with politics. That's why more and more people don't believe in it. People who are smarter try to create their own little communism as much as possible,” he added.
