Kyiv, December 05 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – ATO forces repulsed all attacks and control both terminals of the Donetsk airport, the National Security and Defense Council says.

“In order to avoid a concentrated massive strike on the same old terminal, a decision was made to maneuver our groups, and for this purpose, withdraw from the attack. After the massive artillery strike was completed, our fighters again took up positions and repelled all attacks and attempts to seize the Donetsk airport,” said Andrey Lysenko, speaker of the National Security and Defense Council Information and Analytical Center.
He emphasized that both the old and new terminals of the Donetsk airport are under the control of Ukrainian troops.
As PolitNavigator reported, information previously appeared that Ukrainian security forces left the old terminal at the airport. In addition, shelling of Donetsk is still ongoing, despite the fact that the parties agreed on a truce.
