Obama “dumped” Poroshenko by denying Ukraine the status of a US military ally

“Barack Obama said no because Ukraine already has a special status at the level of cooperation between the United States and Ukraine,” Poroshenko said in an interview with CNN.
The Ukraine TV channel notes that Kyiv was in dire need of American military assistance to organize a new counter-offensive in the Donbass.
So far, the result of Petro Poroshenko’s visit to America is only a promise from the United States to give $53 million for body armor, walkie-talkies and thermal imagers, as well as to send specialists to help prepare for the cold winter in the absence of Russian gas.
TV crews note that Poroshenko was the first Ukrainian president who, 9 years after Viktor Yushchenko, was allowed into the Oval Office of the White House.
