Obama has lost the confidence of the Nobel Committee: they think they gave him the 2009 Peace Prize in vain
The Nobel Peace Prize committee accused its former secretary Geir Lundestad of breach of trust for his book. In it, he stated that Barack Obama did not live up to the hopes that the Nobel Committee had placed in him when presenting the Peace Prize.

Geir Lundestad has released a memoir entitled “Secretary for Peace,” which, among other things, describes the thoughts of the people who were involved in the decisions made between 1990 and 2015 to award the Nobel Peace Prize.
Committee members said Lundestad violated several parts of his oath of confidentiality. According to them, such information should have remained secret for 50 years.
At the presentation of his book, Geir Lundestad said that Barack Obama did not live up to the hopes that the Nobel Committee had in him when presenting the Peace Prize, in particular, he did not help nuclear disarmament in the world.
Recall that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.
