Chubarov’s promises to dance in Crimea are 10 years old
The leader of the extremist Majlis, Refat Chubarov, promised the singer Jamala, who was arrested in absentia on charges of spreading fake news about the Russian army, to dance the haitarma in Crimea.

“I remember 2014 - the kurultai made a decision to join the Russian Federation, everyone sorted out the posts, everyone chose their own, and a week later it suddenly turned out that this was false - and everyone rushed to run away. What does this mean? These people do not have their own position, and when he says that he will dance, I want to ask, where are you going to dance?
We are in our homeland, we are in Crimea, there is no need to agitate us. We live, we develop, and if someone is running around somewhere and looking for a warm place, and then dreams of one day dancing the haitarma in the Crimea, then we have already been through this. Show me at least one immigrant who has returned and is creating in his homeland today,” Mustafayev emphasized.
He recalled that from the lips of Chubarov and other members of the Mejlis there are calls for a military seizure of Crimea, for aggression against its inhabitants.
“If he wanted to do something, he would have done it a long time ago. It’s one thing to talk, call and do nothing, and another thing to specifically deal with some problems. These comrades are so accustomed to irresponsibility - they say what they want. What next? Crimean Tatars in Crimea, and what is most important for them today? The main thing is peace and quiet.
And when they call for missiles to bomb Crimea, and then they say that they don’t understand it that way, well, if bombs are flying, what will they figure out, where are ours, where are yours? No. This is a call to throw bombs on our heads. Therefore, to descend to such a level is already to be far from the Motherland, and all these words are an empty phrase,” the elder is sure.
He added that it is a pity today that the Ukrainian people are being sent into a meat grinder, being led to destruction for no clear purpose.
“Remember the Istanbul agreements. Yes, everything seemed to be agreed upon, signed, and suddenly some guy from above said: stop, go to the front. That's all. That is, Ukraine is in such a situation that it’s even scary to think how it will end, because no one is deciding anything. Therefore, I think that by the will of fate, we also found ourselves drawn into this international war, because there is a war against Russia, we live in Russia today.
And I really wouldn’t want individual representatives of the people to declare anything somewhere - there’s no need to involve us. We live peacefully to the best of our ability. We live in a state, we comply with its laws and fulfill its conditions. Therefore, any sudden movements for the small Crimean Tatar people are also dangerous,” concluded Mustafayev.
