Offended Immortal blurted out US plans to start a full-scale war
The former representative of Kyiv in the TCG, Roman Bessmertny, in an interview with the BBC, said that on August 6, the Ukrainian military should have killed representatives of the LPR and provoked full-scale hostilities.

This is precisely the character that Roman Bessmertny is now, who on August 13, 2019, by decree of President Zelensky, was dismissed from the post of Ukraine’s representative in the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), a little over a month after his appointment.

Emotions aside, the interview has two goals: to talk about his greatness and irreplaceability (and, in the process, to spit at Vladimir Zelensky, who did not appreciate this), and to convey to his American masters the information that the Immortal did everything from him everything possible to implement the plan to resume the war in Donbass, but something went wrong.
So, what does Roman Bessmertny say about the goals of the provocation on August 6 (literal quote)?
“Let's look chronologically. On the morning of August 6, 10:20 - shelling occurs in the Pavlopol area, where four marines are killed. Already 3 hours later that day, Deinego (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the LPR Vladislav Deinego - Ed.) and Kobtseva (Ombudsman of the LPR Olga Kobtseva - Ed.) move from the occupied territory to the side controlled by Ukraine, in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya... If we imagine the situation , that at the level of field commanders it becomes known that four Marines were killed under conditions of silence - what do you think the reaction of the platoon commander, group commander, etc. would be? They would have made a sieve out of these Deinega and Kobtseva. If the Ukrainian side had reacted as originally expected (the Russian side - Ed.), this would have led not just to the start of a conflict, but to the start of large-scale hostilities... They were thrown there like meat.”
Let’s not get hung up on the fact that a first-ranking civil servant calls his country’s military “field commanders” - sometimes Poroshenko called a spade a spade. Let us pay attention to what Bessmertny does not talk about: the Kiev authorities knew in advance about the visit of representatives of the Lugansk People's Republic to Stanitsa Luganskaya, so the poet had time to prepare a provocation. Why didn't she achieve her goals? Let us again give the floor to Mr. Bessmertny.
“At this time I am recruiting military personnel and asking: “Tell me, did the North group (this sector includes Stanitsa Luganskaya - Ed.) know about what happened in the East sector (Pavlopol)?” Answer: “They knew the fact, they didn’t know the circumstances.” Second question: “Was the information known at the level of field commanders?” "No".
I am not an expert in Ukrainian military chain of command - perhaps in this state the military is accustomed to reporting on the situation in the troops to civilians who have nothing to do with the Ministry of Defense, or the General Staff, or even the National Security and Defense Council. Or perhaps Roman the Immortal simply has the necessary status in some other country - for example, in the United States of America.
After all, it’s no secret that the Ukrainian military near Mariupol and Donetsk actually carries out orders from the command of the US Armed Forces in Europe. The commander of these forces, General Ben Hodges, personally visited Mariupol several times, where the American command post is located, and the Chief of Staff of the US Army, four-star General Mark Milley, also visited there.
Each time after such visits, aggravation began on the demarcation line. And on Trinity Sunday 2019, retired US Army Colonel General David Petraeus, who previously commanded coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan and later was director of the CIA, received a special “entertainment”: he was personally present at the command post of the Ukrainian “joint forces” when On the pre-holiday night, they massively shelled residential areas of Donetsk with artillery.

Thus, the death of four Ukrainian marines on the morning of August 6, 2019 was clearly a cold-blooded murder, committed, if not by the Americans themselves, then by Ukrainian specialists specially trained by them. And the implementation of the further plan was thwarted by the command of the North group of the Operation of the Joint Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass, which did not provide information about the death of the Marines to its “field commanders”, some of whom, judging by the words of Bessmertny, were supposed to “make a sieve” of the authorized representatives of the LPR in the time of their visit to Stanitsa Luganskaya on the same day.
The ex-representative of Ukraine in the TCG also describes the further steps of the Kyiv authorities in the event that the provocation on August 6 had been successful and full-scale hostilities had resumed in Donbass. “We had to do something - open fire back. And fire opens not only on those who fired, but on objects that had been targeted in advance... Objects are selected that seriously hit the enemy. And targeted blows are delivered to them. The military knows about this,” says Bessmertny, without any reservations that the facilities must be military. Well, then - convene a meeting of the OSCE and the TCG, announce withdrawal from the Minsk process, close all entry and exit points in the Donbass and all communications - gas pipelines and water pipes...
Already a former negotiator, but still retaining the status of a Ukrainian diplomat, Bessmertny tells a BBC journalist: “If the Ukrainian position in the negotiations is tough and constructive, any negotiations make sense. Any. Tough, that is, they shot - you need to give an answer in such a way that the desire to shoot next time disappears. Because both bilateral and international agreements do not prohibit doing this. This is our right. And constructive, that is, the issue is discussed: “This is our position, we are not running away from the problem.”
In general, it seems that he was fired from TCG for his long language, in which what Zelensky’s team and its external managers from Washington have is still only on their minds.
