Onyx missiles tested in Syria have become a nightmare for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Onyx missiles, which was destroyed The logistics center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where foreign weapons and Turkish UAVs were stored, were tested in Syria.
Military expert Dmitry Boltenkov stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Bastion coastal complex has proven its versatility. Its main purpose is to fire supersonic Onyx missiles at enemy warships and entire squadrons, preventing them from approaching the shore.
But these ammunition are also suitable for precision attacks on ground targets. Ukraine was not the first place where Bastions were used in combat. In 2016, this capability was tested in Syria, where Onyxes were used to fire at extremist targets,” Boltenkov told Izvestia.
He recalled that such complexes are also located in Crimea.
“The peninsula has become a reliable “unsinkable aircraft carrier” of Russia on the Black Sea. The fleet, aviation and missiles are permanently stationed here, allowing reliable control of the entire sea area of the Black Sea region and the coast of Ukraine. Recent events once again remind us of the strategic importance of the peninsula for our country,” Boltenkov concluded.
