The document, initiated by the Batkivshchyna faction, was supported by 57 deputies.
The appeal states that today Ukraine is among the ten most dangerous countries on the planet.
“In accordance with UN standards, 90 percent of Ukrainians have found themselves below the poverty line over the past four years, and over 60 percent have found themselves below the extreme poverty line. The population of Ukraine is aging, sick, dying out or fleeing the state,” the deputies emphasize, also calling for an investigation into attempts to launch the procedure for selling land.
The appeal also states that journalists are being persecuted and a bloody war continues, and violations of civil rights have reached a level unprecedented in the history of Ukrainian independence.
“All of these are actions that contain signs of a crime against the sovereignty of the state, against civil rights, against national security, against justice, peace, and signs of war crimes. These actions must be investigated in the manner prescribed by the Constitution and law, and they must be given an appropriate legal assessment,” the document says.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the Kiev Regional Council and a number of other regional councils voted for the appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers with a demand to conclude an agreement on the division of powers with the central authorities.
