Bummer: The Ukrainian elections turned out to be of no use to anyone in Crimea
Ukraine admitted that on the day of the Verkhovna Rada elections there was no increase in the flow of people leaving Russian Crimea for the mainland.
The assistant to the head of the Kherson border detachment, Ivan Shevtsov, spoke about this in a commentary to the unit of the American Radio Liberty engaged in propaganda for Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The day before, in the Kherson region on the border with Crimea, border guards were transferred to an enhanced version of duty.
However, the strengthening did not justify itself: no provocations were recorded at the administrative border, and there is currently no information that the Russian FSB is questioning citizens about the purpose of their trip to mainland Ukraine.
Moreover, according to border guards, there is no increase in passenger traffic associated with the elections.
