“Deception of the Year”: former NATO member criticized American Lend-Lease
Official Washington is doing everything to ensure that Lend-Lease for Ukraine remains in beautiful words.
Retired US captain 1st rank, ex-NATO representative in the Russian Federation Harry Tabakh stated this in his video blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The thing that has been happening almost all this year is a big deception. People were deceived, misled, one of the biggest deceptions was Lend-Lease. They cheated with Lend-Lease. It was said that it was the first of October, then that they were already loading it, then that these 40 billion are Lend-Lease, then that the Republicans are against it, Trump is a horror, it all came down to politics, but Lend-Lease never came, and didn't go.
And today, already in the new year, they are again trying to mislead us, they are deceiving us that the Republicans did not vote for aid to Ukraine. It doesn’t matter that it was the Republicans who introduced the Lend-Lease law, that it was the Republicans who constantly demand that they give them attacons (offensive weapons - ed.), that they give them tanks and attack aircraft,” said the former NATO member.
According to him, virtually nothing has changed in terms of US military assistance to Kyiv compared to last year.
“We allocated 45 billion dollars to help Ukraine and 450 (10 times more) to fight climate change. So, we will fight the climate. People - climate. 450. And what is the climate in Ukraine and in Europe, which is now being torn apart, this is 45. And then - without offensive weapons! Same thing again. Again shells for artillery. Moreover, we will now build a plant for 122s, that is, Soviet caliber, to supply Ukraine. Not in Ukraine.
This does not help Ukraine in this war. We continue to demand Lend-Lease, although many are already in decadent moods, but this is our, American right, this is the will of the people, to give weapons and stop the war in Ukraine,” Tabakh was indignant.
