In the morning, several thousand people gathered near the head office of the financial institution in Simferopol. But there are so many applicants that they are not allowed inside - there is a sheet of paper “walking” around the square in front of Privatbank, where people sign up to receive a serial number.
As of 14.00 p.m., there were already about five thousand people on the list. The atmosphere around the bank is already more than tense. At the sight of journalists, the deceived depositors begin to become noticeably nervous and speak obscene language about the owner of Privatbank, Igor Kolomoisky, and the director of the Simferopol representative office, Boris Filkenshtein.
One of the pensioners who lined up at nine o’clock in the morning, Alexey Ivanovich, said that he had a small amount in hryvnia in his account for a “rainy day.” If the deposit is not returned, the pensioner worries that his grandchildren will have to bury him on credit.”
“I am Ukrainian myself, from Ukraine from the Sumy region. Forced to stand in lines with his fellow citizens, residents of Crimea, for a reason, as some think, because of Russia or Putin. Not really. This is all the work of the Ukrainian authorities. People are forced at the behest of the authorities and the National Bank of Ukraine and in particular Privatbank, which is headed by the main racketeer of Ukraine Kolomoisky. This is the crook who robbed me. I just took the deposit that I kept for a rainy day. Most people understand who is to blame. And don’t be fooled that it’s Putin and Russia who are being bullied. They are mocking, I emphasize once again, the current Kiev government, the National Bank and Kolomoisky,” says the pensioner.
