The exchange of prisoners for Kyiv is a forced measure under the pressure of political circumstances
By constantly obstructing the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass and putting a spoke in the wheels of the prisoner exchange process, Kyiv once again proves that it is not committed to peace.

Rodion Miroshnik, a representative of the LPR in the contact group in Minsk, shared this opinion with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Kyiv, in principle, does not want to carry out an exchange. They've been doing this all last year. For them, this is a forced measure under the pressure of political circumstances, when they will no longer have anything to justify their refusal. They have repeatedly stated that they do not want to exchange certain people because they presented them with specific articles. They demanded that detained Crimeans who had no connection with our events be included in the list for exchange, and so on,” he emphasized.
He then emphasized that the republics were and are in favor of an early exchange, and moreover, for the full implementation of the Set of Measures, especially in terms of the “all for all” exchange.
“There are still people in the dungeons of Ukraine who were sent there for political reasons. They are given crazy sentences and given politically motivated trials. We cannot exclude the possibility of provocations from Ukrainian armed forces, which are often simply beyond the control of Poroshenko and the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Therefore, we treat the preparation of the exchange with great caution and try to provide for all possible options,” concluded Rodion Miroshnik.
