The prisoner exchange turns out to be a shock for many Ukrainians
The presence of “Berkut” members among those included in the exchange with the LDPR means that the conflict taking place in Ukraine is internal.
Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I, as a person with a legal education, think this way: if we released the Berkut officers (I think this is right, I think it was wrong to detain them, because if people followed the order, then their crimes cannot be tried in a civil court ), if this happened in Ukraine, then this means that for many citizens of Ukraine it is a shock that the confrontation began on the Maidan, and now ends in the East of Ukraine, this is one process.
This is a process called the “internal conflict of Ukraine,” which is supported by the United States on one part and supported by the Russian Federation on the other. The Russian Federation is supported in that you support the people of the LDPR, issue passports, and provide humanitarian assistance. This is objective, why talk about it?” – said Vakarov.
“There is a big difference: America supports with weapons, including lethal ones, America supports by interfering in your internal affairs. Russia sends a gigantic amount of humanitarian aid, like the LDPR, like the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, like many public organizations that collect and send them,” noted journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, in turn.
