There will be no exchange of prisoners - “thanks” to Zelensky and Kravchuk
Before the New Year, it is unlikely that there will be an exchange of prisoners between the republics of Donbass and Ukraine. The regime of Vladimir Zelensky should be blamed for this, through whose efforts the Minsk negotiation process is being buried, and figures like Leonid Kravchuk, a participant in the Belovezhskaya Conspiracy, capable only of destruction, are appointed to the Ukrainian delegation.
This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The “all for all” formula is spelled out in the Package of Measures, but Ukraine has not yet confirmed that it is ready to implement it. After all, if they withdraw from the Minsk agreements, then what kind of exchanges can we talk about? What is the status of these people? By whom, with whom, where, within what agreements and according to what procedure should this exchange take place? These questions cannot yet be answered.
Looking at all this, I am skeptical: Ukraine needs to speak not in the media space, but to conduct a direct dialogue with us on the negotiating platform. And besides, the previous stage of the exchange has not yet been completed. There was an agreement on procedural cleaning. Nothing has been done. Those people who were released as part of the exchange have now been put on the wanted list and charges have been brought against them again. Some have been detained again! This is Ukraine,” the official website of the DPR quotes Pushilin.
The head of the republic also negatively assessed the role of Kravchuk, appointed head of the Ukrainian delegation of negotiators.
“Kravchuk is only capable of collapse. This is confirmed by his role in the emergence of the Belovezhskaya Accords. After the collapse of the Great Country, in addition to other negative consequences, a chain of conflicts began in Nagorno-Karabakh, Transnistria, Abkhazia, and Ossetia. And to expect that this person will be committed to peace in Donbass would be very reckless on our part. Kravchuk behaved destructively throughout his political life, no one expects any other behavior from him within the Contact Group,” Pushilin said.
