He became insolent. The leader of the Kosovo separatists did not find understanding in the EU
Kosovo's "Prime Minister" Albin Kurti sent a letter to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
In it, the separatist leader complained about the EU envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kurti said that first of all, after a meeting in Brussels with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, through the mediation of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell and the aforementioned Miroslav Lajcak, he wrote a letter to the leaders of Germany, France, Italy and the US Secretary of State.
“We are dealing with an envoy who has distorted the process, not focusing on the full implementation of the basic agreement, but allowing the cart to be put before the horse,” Kurti wrote about the meaning of his message.
In response, EU spokesman Peter Stano said that Lajcak has the full support of all 27 representatives of EU member states, adding that this shows how they see the continuation of the dialogue and what they expect from both Serbia and Kosovo.
“We will not comment on Albin Kurti’s statements, especially those that contain unfounded accusations,” Stano said.
