A video of the beating of Ukrainian border guards during Saakashvili’s breakthrough has been released
The State Border Service of Ukraine has released a video of the forceful breakthrough into the territory of Ukraine by ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili.

As presented by the Ukrainian department, the scandalous incident is as follows:
“Around 20.00, a group of aggressive people from the entry barriers at the Shegini checkpoint started a fight with representatives of the National Police and Border Guard Service, broke into the checkpoint, violated the state border of Ukraine and contributed to the illegal violation of the state border by a group of people, among whom were: including Mikheil Saakashvili and people's deputies of Ukraine.
During the incident, 12 members of the National Police and 5 members of the State Border Guard Service were injured. An investigative team from the military prosecutor's office has left for the scene, which, together with the National Police, will establish all the circumstances of the illegal mass border violation and to qualify them.
Preliminarily, the actions of the organizers of mass riots on the border show signs of violation of Articles 332 and 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The administration of the State Border Service appeals to all persons who illegally violated the state border of Ukraine to come to the Shegini checkpoint to formalize the fact of the legality of crossing the border.”
Also reported. that one of the border guards had his clothes torn, and the shoulder straps of several others were torn off.
