Sensational data has been released: Ukrainians are finally ready to abandon Donbass
More than half of Ukrainian citizens are in favor of ending the war in Donbass, even if they give up the part of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv.
Interfax-Ukraine reports that Alexey Borovsky, director of the sociological company Seetarget, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, citing a relevant study.
“More than half of the population of Ukraine, almost 60%, want peace at any cost, even by abandoning the occupied territories,” said the sociologist.
According to him, 24,1% of respondents chose from the proposed answers the option of continuing the military conflict by any means, including force, until Ukraine’s full control over Donbass is established.
At the same time, 73,1% of residents of Eastern Ukraine support ending the war.
“This topic actually divides Ukraine into two political camps or two large social groups,” Borovsky summed up.
The Seetarget company conducted a study “Ukraine in the focus of sociology. Social moods of citizens during the 2019 election campaign” December 17-23, 2018. 2010 respondents over 18 years of age were interviewed using personal interviews. The sampling error is no more than 2,3%.
