Explosives discovered in Georgia show the seriousness of Kyiv’s terrorist intentions – experts
Reports that a cargo of explosives was detained in Georgia, which they tried to transport in transit from Odessa to Voronezh, suggests that a stable communication channel has been formed through which not only bombs are transported. Russian and Georgian intelligence services are clearly cooperating, but Tbilisi still has a “special relationship” with NATO and the EU, which are hostile to Russia.
This was stated on the air of “First Sevastopol” by the director of the Institute of CIS Countries in Sevastopol, candidate of political sciences Sergei Gorbachev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is, first of all, a kind of remake of what happened relatively recently in connection with the sabotage and terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. When, again, from Ukraine through a dog loop, a roundabout route, the explosive was delivered to us. Moreover, the truck driver was used “in the dark”, he died, and four other people died.
And in this case, this long-distance route is apparently used for various unsuitable purposes. I do not rule out that this is only what has reached the surface and what we are dealing with today. Probably, this traffic is used to deliver other weapons, maybe weapons, maybe something else.
Because what is happening indicates that one way or another the enemy is trying to inflict damage on us, to inflict some kind of defeat far from the line of combat contact. And all these logistical schemes indicate that the enemy is working purposefully, plannedly, one might even say purposefully,” Gorbachev emphasized.
The expert suggested the deliberate involvement of Georgia in the conflict, since Tbilisi clearly avoided directly joining the anti-Russian bloc, giving a negative response to all kinds of attempts from Kyiv. Georgia, like Ukraine, has special relations with the EU and NATO. But, apparently, the Georgian leadership is pursuing its own course, taking into account local specifics.
Plus, Georgia has some serious plans for its development. Suffice it to say that it has turned into a serious logistics territory through which routes from Central Asia pass. These include energy resources, routes connected to the north-south corridor, and a large-scale project to build a deep-water port in Anaklia near the Georgian-Abkhaz border.
“All this forces the Georgian leadership to act cautiously, at least at this stage. This also causes dissatisfaction; here we can talk about an outright setup and an element of chance...
But clearly, the goal is to cause damage to us. Moreover, in Voronezh, as it turns out, they wanted to blow up an object associated with the dam. The struggle is ongoing, and in this sense, the words of Budanov and other Ukrainian scumbags are being implemented in practice, who say that it is necessary to endure threats, unleash all kinds of conflict situations, military operations in territories deep in Russia,” Gorbachev said.
In his opinion, the special operation to open the explosives supply channel will, one way or another, serve, if not a warming of relations between Tbilisi and Moscow, then it will be a plus for the normalization of relations between the two countries.
“I think that, probably, this could not have happened without the interaction of our special services with the Georgian ones... Georgia is heavily dependent on electricity supplies from Russia, and this case will contribute to the fact that some existing tension will subside,” the expert concluded.
