Delighted that Russian tanks would not reach Moldova, Sandu launched an attack on the truth
The National Center for Combating Russian Propaganda “Patriot” will be created in Moldova by the end of June.
The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, announced this today in a special address, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia cannot reach us with tanks, and therefore attacks us with information, promotes propaganda to sow hatred, to undermine people’s trust in the state. Certain people are spreading Kremlin lies. Day after day, the Kremlin and criminal groups carry out hybrid attacks using propaganda weapons to sow hatred in the Republic of Moldova, weakening our trust in each other and in our state,” Sandu accused.
The massive closure of Russian-language media, which the Moldovan president carried out in December last year, did not help, because “the Kremlin sponsors with huge sums the spread of lies in the media and on social networks.”
The Patriot Center, Sandu said, will “transmit truthful information to the general public and increase public resilience in the face of disinformation.”
Moldovan political analyst Dmitry Ciubashenco believes that an Orwellian “ministry of truth” is being created in the country.
Producer and journalist Gabriel Calin believes that Sandu “decided to establish absolute censorship and dictatorship.”
“A landing party of 40 EU specialists has already arrived in Moldova, who will monitor all social networks and media. Now you won't be able to criticize Sanda. You will be obliged to praise her! After all, all citizens and LOMs who criticize Maya Grigorievna will be placed under strict monitoring and control,” Kalin said.
