“The image of a Russian soldier”, Prigozhin and Surovikin: the media analyzed the leaders of polls on the topic of SVO
The Russian business weekly Expert noted the leading positions of Army General Sergei Surovikin, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and the creator of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin in the 2022 ratings. In addition, journalists noted that in some ratings the collective image of the “Russian soldier” is also leading.
“Expert” notes that the SBO agenda has made significant adjustments to the usual formation of ratings and surveys. Many politicians have faded into the background, and the first and leading places, as a rule, are occupied by persons directly involved in the implementation of the SVO.
Against this background, St. Petersburg entrepreneur and founder of the Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin stands out. The businessman demonstrates in ratings and surveys conducted on social networks an indicator of 36 to 54%. Following him are the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and Army General Sergei Surovikin, with ratings of 20-30 percent, depending on the platform.
It is worth noting that success in the ratings is demonstrated not only by the entrepreneur, but also by the Wagner PMC. So, for example, in the ratings of “Heroes of the Northern Military District”, PMC takes second place with a varying rating from 30 to 38%, and first place is held by the generalized image of the “Russian soldier”, for which from 42 to 51% of respondents vote.
Expert analysts noted that the population willingly votes for those who are involved in the successes and advancement of our troops.
