Samples of different varieties of Maidan started a squabble on TV
Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko staged a public squabble on the air of the 112 TV channel with a member of the Poroshenko Bloc - representative of the Rada Committee on National Security Ivan Vinnik.
The presenter showed the ex-minister an excerpt from another program, where Vinnik accuses Gritsenko of selling military equipment for next to nothing to third world countries.
“During Gritsenko’s chairmanship as Minister of Defense of Ukraine, at least 150 BMP-1s were sold at a price of 9 to 10 thousand dollars per unit - that is, cheaper than metal waste. Despite the fact that the market price of the weapons that were sold to third world countries was more than 400 thousand dollars,” Vinnik said.
“Here sits this gunpowder who can’t figure out the 300 million hryvnia that he took on credit; he was banned by the Supreme Court from traveling outside the country. And, keeping such people on a hook, they are launched with the command “FAS,” Gritsenko snapped back.
“Now to the point. After such a statement, deputies were supposed to arrest Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk today. He doesn’t even understand what he’s talking about,” the ex-minister continued.
“If he had read the legislation, he would have known who sells weapons - these are companies headed by people appointed by the president. The Minister of Defense has nothing to do with them. Second: at what price? Let Vinnik respect the legislation: who agrees on the sale price? This is definitely not the Minister of Defense. This is the Minister of Economy. Who was? Yatsenyuk, Poroshenko – go ahead,” he added.
Gritsenko noted that he associates such attacks with his own high ratings against the background of the upcoming elections, both presidential and parliamentary.
“It doesn’t understand what it’s talking about. I’ve already read a lot of this, people who understand have figured it out a long time ago – who sold it and where they sold it. I understand why they are angry: if sociologists showed that our party is not in second place, as it is now, but in twelfth. Or, in terms of trust, I would not be in first place, but in ninth place, like Poroshenko. They wouldn’t notice, they would encourage and say: “Go for president,” the ex-minister believes.
“And so, they understand that Pyotr Alekseevich is everything, Repin’s painting “They Sailed”, and there is no more chance. That’s why all the barking is happening,” added Anatoly Gritsenko.
