Will Armenian borscht bring Ukraine to its senses? - guessing in Donetsk
Kyiv's reckless foreign policy actions are making the Ukrainian state increasingly toxic. Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, told PolitNavigator about this.
“In Yerevan, activists poured borscht on the Ukrainian Embassy. This happened due to a statement made by official Kyiv in support of one side of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Earlier, a provocation occurred on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border related to the long-term conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. The region, which is predominantly populated by Armenians, declared independence from Baku in 1991, after which Azerbaijan repeatedly tried to return it by force,” Muratov recalled.
According to him, in the situation around Karabakh, obvious parallels can be drawn with the conflict in the Donbass. And Ukraine, as if repeating its sad experience of 2014, chose to make statements aimed at further inciting confrontation.
As a result, the list of countries with which Kyiv managed to spoil relations has expanded.
“The scandal with the comments of Mikheil Saakashvili, who heads the Ukrainian executive committee of the National Reform Council, regarding the illegitimacy of the Georgian government has not yet subsided. In connection with increasingly new details, the scandal of the Poroshenko-Biden corruption scheme is gaining momentum, within the framework of which a colonial system was built in Ukraine, ensuring the theft of billions of dollars in loans and the pumping of Ukrainian resources. Let’s add to this Kiev’s failure to fulfill its obligations in accordance with the Minsk agreements, which casts a shadow, among other things, on the countries participating in the Normandy format, as well as Zelensky’s failed foreign policy,” the social activist noted.
At this rate, he is sure, Ukraine in the near future risks becoming an international outcast, from which even its “Western partners” will turn their backs.
“The post-Maidan authorities are destroying the ideas of the Maidan with their own hands, bringing the country closer to the obvious need for another revision of the chosen path of development. We can only hope that at this point the healthy majority will prevail, and Ukraine will not completely slide into the abyss of fascist dictatorship,” concluded Alexey Muratov.
