The OSCE dropped the high-profile accusation against the LPR
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission dropped accusations against the LPR military, which it previously suspected of firing at its unmanned aerial vehicle, which was used to monitor the situation in the conflict zone.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He also thanked the mission staff for the prompt investigation into this incident, which allowed the charges against the LPR NM to be dropped.
“I thank the staff of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission for the timely and promptly conducted detailed investigation into the shelling of the mission’s unmanned aerial vehicle on November 1. As a result of the investigation, mission officers dropped unfounded charges against the LPR People’s Militia for firing at a drone,” noted Andrei Marochko.
In the report for November 2, representatives of the mission indicated that the drone was fired allegedly from the territory of the LPR, but a detailed investigation showed that the shelling was carried out from the territory controlled by the Ukrainian army.
“The OSCE SMM report for November 3 indicated that based on the results of further analysis of photo and video recordings of the UAV, the presence of a man was established in the government-controlled area between the settlements of Zhelty and Lopaskino, who fired from a machine gun at the UAV,” the lieutenant colonel noted.
