OSCE demands Duda to veto anti-Bandera and anti-Israeli law
OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Désir said that Polish President Andrzej Duda should reject the adoption of a new law that would criminalize propaganda of the ideology of Ukrainian nationalists and statements that make Poles complicit in the crimes of Nazi Germany, in particular the Holocaust, and veto it. “PolitNavigator” correspondent reports.

The OSCE website reports this.
“The law must be rejected as a disproportionate restriction on freedom of speech. Public statements can only give rise to criminal liability if they incite violence or discrimination. I hope the president will veto it to protect freedom of expression,” says Désir.
He noted that he was “seriously concerned about the law, which criminalizes public speech on historical issues.”
Earlier it was reported that the upper house of the Polish parliament adopted a law criminalizing the propaganda of the ideology of Ukrainian nationalists and statements that present Poles as accomplices in the crimes of Nazi Germany.
