OSCE: Ukrainian military mined the bridge in Shchastya
Ukraine is preventing the disengagement of weapons at the only checkpoint of the demarcation line in Stanitsa Luhanska. The alternative checkpoint in Shchastya remains mined by Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. When asked by the OSCE to remove the mines, the Ukrainian side refused.

This information was released by the head of the OSCE SMM, Alexander Hug, during a Skype conference with the Ukrainian Crisis Center, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska, or what remains of it, is the only place in the region where people can come from government-controlled territories to non-government controlled ones. The parties agreed to disengage forces and assets from the Stanitsa Luhanska area in order to ensure a sufficient level of silence for repair work on the bridge. However, they did not comply with this agreement. It is possible to restore a bridge that should unite and not divide people. International funding and the will of the people are available for this. Only the parties to the conflict interfere with this.
At the same time, there are obvious alternatives - the bridge in Shchastya, which was not destroyed in order to become a checkpoint for vehicles and pedestrians. The Ukrainian Armed Forces refuse to remove the anti-tank mines they have placed across the bridge,” said Alexander Hug.
