“On its route to Mukacheve, the SMM observed increased security, including several police checkpoints,” the report notes.
At one of the checkpoints, OSCE representatives saw SBU soldiers in ten armored minibuses and two minibuses. However, the scene itself is blocked by law enforcement for security reasons.
Also 120 km northeast of Mukachevo, OSCE observers spotted a Ukrainian Armed Forces convoy heading to Mukachevo, which consisted of 11 armored personnel carriers, 2 trucks with soldiers and one fuel tanker.
Representatives of the mission met with the mayor of Mukachevo, the deputy mayor, and a police representative. According to the interlocutors, a task force from Kyiv, consisting of the SBU, the National Guard and the Prosecutor General's Office, was responsible for carrying out the operation after the incident. According to them, other members of the Right Sector involved in the incident fled into the forest.
In addition, OSCE representatives met with the director of the Mukachevo hospital and his two deputies, who reported that the man with a gunshot wound to the head, who was taken to the hospital on July 11, is still in critical condition.
“According to them, on the same day, five wounded civilians and five police officers were hospitalized. On July 12, the police brought one corpse to the hospital, and the SBU brought two seriously wounded. They said three civilians and three police officers who were admitted the day before were discharged today,” the report said.
