About it states the OSCE report following Mijatović’s visit to Kyiv.
During the visit, the OSCE representative met with Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin. Mijatović pointed to the need to ensure the safety of journalists and pluralism in the media.
“I am receiving more and more reports of threats against journalists, especially on the Internet, and in particular against those who engage in investigative journalism,” Mijatović said.
The OSCE representative also added that “harassment and labeling of traitors are unacceptable in a democratic society, and they significantly restrict media representatives from doing their job.”
