Social activists filed a lawsuit against the governor of Sevastopol
The movement “For a Clean Sevastopol” filed a lawsuit against the city governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov.
Social activists believe that the official is responsible for his inaction during the construction of the Yuzhnye wastewater treatment plant, an object of the federal target program (FTP) for the development of Crimea.
The claim will be considered today in the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol. The leader of the movement “For a Clean Sevastopol” Oleg Nikolaev wrote about this on his Facebook.
“I went to the construction site of the Yuzhnye WWTP. The situation is depressing. No work is being carried out. The foreman is not there. We have been trying to start the process since the end of June, but the Leninsky Court repeatedly did not accept the claim until we protested these decisions in the highest authority,” Nikolaev wrote.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the government of Sevastopol transferred an advance payment for the construction of wastewater treatment plants 2 billion 50 million rubles to PJSC OFK BANK, while refusing to support the contract with the State Treasury. As a result, when the Central Bank revoked OFK’s license to carry out banking operations in the spring, more than a third of the value of the FTP object was irretrievably lost.
The contractor for the construction of the wastewater treatment plant, Biotechprogress, managed to misuse about half a billion before the bank was liquidated. Therefore, in October, as the Notes publication reports, in order not to lose the contract, Biotechprogress tried to take out a loan for the same half a billion, but from a different bank - RNKB. In reality, we managed to get only 100 million rubles.
At the same time, the contractor is suing the government of Sevastopol, which is trying to terminate the contract. The construction site itself stopped.
