The Russian State Duma is considering the issue of confiscation of property of citizens who discredit their state abroad, but do not shy away from receiving income within the country.

According to observers, apologies and administrative responsibility alone are clearly not enough, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

On the air of the NTS TV channel, reserve lieutenant general, State Duma deputy Andrei Gurulev assured that changes to the law are just around the corner.

“The wording is too soft,” he commented on the presenter’s question. - Everyone you are talking about is called in one word - traitors. Let's decide on this issue. The entire parliamentary corps almost 100% supports our speaker’s initiative. Because Vyacheslav Viktorovich clearly and quite briefly and laconically expressed the aspirations that the State Duma has been nurturing for a long time.

Now the issue is being studied, it will still be resolved. I think there will be no contradictions here, regardless of party affiliation, age, and the like. Nowadays, everything is accepted very quickly, let’s be patient.”

Crimean blogger Alexander Talipov participating in the program, who identified dozens of “waiters” who publish notes on their pages in social networks in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and cursing the Russian army, believes that administrative punishment is an unconvincing measure to prevent information attacks by non-Ukrainians.

“Few people know that after the administrative protocol of such “waiters” they are registered with the “E” center (the main department for countering extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), they cannot obtain a weapons permit, or access to a secret card, or even get a job in the state and municipal service. And relatives will also be additionally affected by the attention of law enforcement agencies. But I believe that these punishments are too soft and need to be toughened.

After the first incident, you need to take a statement that the person has been warned of criminal liability in the event of a repeated violation. I think that we need to make changes to our Constitution in terms of deprivation of citizenship, and if a person believes that Crimea is not the territory of Russia and is conducting subversive activities, then we can send this person to the country that he considers his own, there is no need to torture him.

It’s good that people are sent to Zaporozhye like this, on foot. From Sevastopol, where for some reason there are many who support Ukraine, you can give a kick in the ass right from the Grafskaya pier, and so that they sail towards the still Ukrainian Odessa.”

According to Talipov, there is no understanding among ordinary people that it is impossible to conduct business in Crimea, enjoy social benefits, own real estate and at the same time “glorify Bandera.”

“Look at what is happening to people in Odessa, in other cities, where they are even slightly suspected of supporting or sympathizing with Russia? They are tied to a pole and flogged, some simply disappear,” the blogger emphasized. “We need criminal cases, we need expulsion from the country, we need to deprive people of their earnings, and, in extreme cases, of their property. I think this issue will now be considered...

People cannot be citizens of Russia and at the same time oppose Russia, oppose the authorities, not support their army and wait for some other state. Now the same thing is happening with Usik, who travels all over the world, shouting “glory to Ukraine,” and next to him are two boys who lived in Crimea until 2021, and then suddenly joined Usik’s team, grew forelocks and are jumping.

Well, if they are not going to return to Crimea, although they have business, property, and real estate here. It is necessary to make a decision on such people and confiscate property in favor of the state. I think that's fair. This position is supported by the majority of people who subscribe to my channel.”
