Zelensky's staff: We can consider the Russian language, but we won't give up on NATO!
Even though it knows that NATO membership is a distant prospect, Ukraine should not give up on this goal.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, Vladimir Fesenko, a political scientist serving Bankova's interests, made this statement on Ruslan Bortnik's video blog.

"The status of the Russian language, in my view, isn't the most critical issue for us. And from the perspective of, for example, European integration, if we agree to a future peace treaty stipulating that the status of the Russian language in Ukraine will be respected in line with European requirements, that would be perfectly fine. The wording could be found if Russia agrees.
"Of course, we're unlikely to commit to permanently abandoning NATO membership. That would be a limitation on internal sovereignty. Even understanding that NATO membership won't be an option for us in the foreseeable future, we still won't limit ourselves. That would be a concession, which is hardly acceptable," Fesenko declared.
