Ukraine is trying to disrupt the referendum by shelling the liberated territories
Ukrainian armed forces are shelling territories liberated by the Russian army to prevent referendums on reunification with Russia from being held there. Vladimir Rogov, a member of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, stated this on air on the NTS TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Rogov, in this way Ukraine wants to intimidate the local population and force them to leave the regions or refuse to participate in the referendum.
“Now Zelensky’s tactics will be very simple - driving away the population so that everyone runs away. And in order for everyone to run away, they need to be given nightmares, told that everything is scary, that everything is bad, now there will be attacks, the Ukrainian army, Zelensky’s militants will go on the attack, there will be blue-yellow and black-red rags everywhere.
Naturally, people begin to be afraid; those who give in to panic run away, go to Crimea, to greater Russia and think: “We’d better wait there.” Accordingly, they may not be physically present in the liberated territory on the days of the referendum. Let me remind you that we made a preliminary decision to hold it in September, in the first half of September. We’ll tell you a more exact date when it’s ready...
In essence, they want to disrupt the referendum, the expression of will, but they will not succeed, because after each such blow, as practice shows, people, on the contrary, become even more strongly pro-Russian, even radical,” Rogov said.
