During the shelling of the positions of the People's Militia of the DPR by the Ukrainian military, the barrel ruptured as a result of double loading of the mortar.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, departing on rotation to points of permanent deployment, are in a hurry to get rid of unaccounted for ammunition, and are also trying to make as much money as possible from the destruction of the infrastructure of the People's Militia of the DPR. This explains the intensification of shelling in the Gorlovka direction.
“But, as usual, such actions of the invaders bring them non-combat losses. So yesterday, during shelling of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic at a mortar position, as a result of double loading, an 82-mm mortar exploded. As a result of the incident, two militants were killed and one was injured,” said Eduard Basurin.
At the same time, he noted that the official report of the command of the 30th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation reported only one wounded.
